Privacy note
Your money data stays on your machine.
Last updated October 14, 2026.
Rich Life is a private app for one household. It runs on a computer you own, and your money data lives there with it. We never see your accounts. Only the connections you turn on, such as Plaid, send data, and only to them.
What Rich Life stores
- The accounts and cards you connect or import.
- The transactions from those accounts, and the balances the bank reports.
- The spending plan you set up: your targets and categories, and the categories you mark as one-time costs.
- Your notes and edits: renames, splits, rules you teach it, and the card credits you have marked used.
The two of you share one set of this, so you both see the same numbers. There is no hidden copy.
Where it lives
On the machine that runs Rich Life, in a folder on its disk. Usually a Mac mini at home.
- The app is served only to devices on your own private network. There is no Rich Life server in the cloud.
- If you connect a bank through Plaid, that connection is between you and Plaid. We never see your bank login.
Connecting a bank opens Plaid's own window, which loads Plaid's code. What Plaid does with that connection is covered by Plaid's own privacy policy: Plaid end-user privacy policy.
Who can see it
- You, and the person you share the household with.
- Anyone who can use that machine and reach its disk. Keep it somewhere you trust, set a login on it, and turn on disk encryption (FileVault on a Mac) so the disk stays encrypted.
- Not us. Not advertisers. Not other households. Rich Life has no analytics, no trackers and no third-party scripts.
- Every page of the app loads only files from the machine itself. The one exception is the bank connection above, which opens Plaid's own window.
Optional connections
Optional connections, such as Notion, are off unless you turn them on, and they send only what you turn on. You can turn them off again at any time. Optional parts, like the local AI helper, run on the same machine and never connect to the internet.
The early-access form
The form on the invite page asks for what you type in it: names, an email and which banks you use, plus how many accounts and cards you run and whether you manage money with a partner. It asks for nothing financial. What you type is kept in Notion, the workspace we use to run the early-access list, under Notion's privacy policy.
We use it only to contact you about early access, and we delete it when early access ends. We do not sell it and we do not share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we will.
The household shown on the invite page, Maya and Theo, is invented. No real household's data appears on this site.
This page and this host
This invite page is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub Pages may keep logs of visits, such as the pages seen and the addresses they came from. The app itself is not on the internet. It runs on your machine.
How to delete it
- Because the app's data is on your machine, you can remove it yourself at any time. Delete the data folder and the household's data is gone.
- To have us delete what the early-access form collected, or to ask what is stored, email privacy@parvislabs.com and say what you want removed. We reply within two business days.
- Deleting the data folder does not close your bank or Plaid connections. Those stay yours to manage at your bank and in Plaid.
Rich Life is not a bank and not a financial adviser. It shows you your own numbers and your own plan.
